With so many reflections and resolutions going on this time of year I find myself thinking back on the year that has passed.
We had a huge group sign-up and compete in the CrossFit Open and it was amazing to see the energy and effort put into the individual performances and the support of others through the five weeks.
A number of us competed in our first ever in-house competition, The FCCF Refresh, and it was a great way to get to work out in a high energy, friendly and welcoming competitive atmosphere.
We did our yearly Hero Benchmarks in the Memorial Day Murph and 4th of July Bradshaw. It was great to participate in these grinding workouts with such a driven and motivated group.
Some have just started with us and others have been apart of this community for more than 5 years. Personal Records were made and broken by everyone. The consistent attendance no matter single digit temps early in the A.M. or 90 degree weather in the afternoon was admirable. Constant growth was achieved by all who walked through the FCCF doors.
First Pull-ups, Deadlift maxes, High-fives, and Friendships built from a community of people never lacking the attirude, energy, and effort needed to accomplish goals.
The individuals who make up Fort Collins CrossFit are some of the best and people I have ever met. We are all truly lucky to have one-another.
A few of you have come up to me and said things like, "Thanks for tips in the class today," "That was a great workout" "I can tell I am getting stronger," "Coming to class is very therapeutic."
...The gratitude is great, however the little known fact is that anything we have done for you pales in comparison to what you have all done for me. I would not trade this place for anything. Cheers to 2018!
